AMERICAN ROSE SOCIETY 2011 FALL NATIONAL CONVENTION

Welcome to the World of Rose Gardening or Rose Gardening World.  Take time and smell the roses.  Roses have been around for millions of years which just prove that roses are not difficult to grow. The Rose is also our National Floral Emblem and the state flower of several states.  Here at Rose Gardening World, you’ll find rose articles that will educate you about roses – its history, rose culture, rose profiles and even rose verses all in one place.  So visit Rose Gardening World often.

The fall national convention of the American Rose Society will be held on October 13-16, 2011 and will be hosted by Los Angeles Tinseltown Rose Society at Universal Hilton Hotel, Universal City, California.  The theme of the convention is Rose Stars.  This is the first time in over 50 years that the convention is held in Los Angeles.   The American rose Society is an Amercian institution, celebrating 118 years as an educational and community service 501 (c)(3) organization, having over 350 affiliated and chapter societies spread across the United States.

The convention schedule includes a full day of entertaining and informative lectures by international rose experts.  There will be garden tours to Tournament House (also known as Wrigley Mansion and Gardens) and The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens and sightseeing tours around Los Angeles as well as the American Rose Society National Rose Show which will feature beautiful roses and arrangements.  There are two sumptuous buffet awards banguets for convention attendees.

FREE entry to the Rose Show on Friday, Oct. 14 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday, Oct. 15 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm at Universal Hilton, Universal City.  The general public is welcome!  For more info, visit their website at www.rosestars.com.
